Race For Life

Our school is holding its very own Race For Life event for Cancer Research UK on Friday 7th July and we would love your child to join the fun. Our youngsters are the generation that could see ground-breaking treatments and
cures for cancer in their lifetime. They are the rising stars who could be the researchers and lifesavers of tomorrow. By taking part in Race For Life and uniting together against cancer, they’ll be doing something really special. Cancer Research UK receives no government funding for their research, so the more of us who join the fight against cancer, the more money we can raise to beat cancer sooner.

Children in years 1-6, teachers and support staff will be running, hopping, skipping or walking a mile on this day.  All children participating will receive a special Race For Life Medal. Please show your support by sponsoring your child and asking family and friends to sponsor them using the sponsor form that they have been given. Alternatively, you can donate by logging onto the St George’s donation page here.

Please ensure that all sponsorship forms and money are returned to school by Friday 7th July.

If you would like your child to run in memory or in celebration of loved ones please send in a photo and we will print it on a “back sign” for them to wear on the day. For further information about this event  please speak to the school office or Miss Michell (year 3 class teacher).

Come on St George’s! Let us see if we can raise our target of £500.

Thank you in advance for your support.
