Our Gingerbread Man Adventures Continue...

Kahlo Class have enjoyed lots more Gingerbread Man related Learning this week!

In English, we have been persisting with using our phonics to re-write the story of the Gingerbread Man. We also worked hard to include capital letters, finger spaces and full stops.

In expressive arts and design, we have been using a range of media and materials to create our own gingerbread people. We also created boats to help the gingerbread man cross the river!  We experimented with a range of materials and tested them in the water tray. We quickly worked out that plastic made the best boats.

In Maths, we have been exploring the composition of 5, as well as practising counting using 1:1 correspondence and matching quantities to numerals.

Reception have really lived up to our Early Years Vision this week;

Be an Explorer. Be a Trier. Be a Talker. Be a Creator.
