Our Value of the month: LOVE

Dear St. George's families,

Firstly, we would like to say a big well done to our Year Six pupils, who have worked really hard during SATS week. We were really proud of their maturity during the week, which is a time to show how much they have all progressed from their individual starting points since they joined us at St George's.

The pupils had a well-deserved trip to the park on Friday afternoon to celebrate their achievements. It will be back to work on Monday though, as we want to make sure all of our pupils are secondary-ready!

It was fun all round on Friday, as we participated in Pjamarrama. It was lots of fun seeing everyone dressed up. All the pupils enjoyed a story read to them by another class teacher. A great way to celebrate reading!

You will see below that our second open worship of the year is coming up. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on the morning. It really is moments like this that ensure we live out our culture statement: We are fun. We are together.

As ever, we wish you the very best of weekends, full of rest and fun, ready for learning on Monday.

Mr Janes

Attendance

At St Georges's, our culture statement says:

We are fun. We are together.

Being together means attending school regularly. This year, we have set a challenging target for attendance to be in line with pre-Covid levels. Each week we will publish our attendance in this newsletter. Please contribute by ensuring your child is in school, not missing out on learning.

This week's average attendance: 96.7%
Highest class attendance of the week: Shackleton Class - 98.21%
Academic year's average attendance: 94.82%
Our target for the year: 97.00%

We are proud to say that we have won a certificate for our attendance! Have a look below to see.
