Our Value of the month: LOVE

Dear St. George's families,

A big thank you to the families who attended our Open Worship on Thursday. Father Richard hopes you left feeling 'sparky' after reflecting on Pentecost!

It has been another fantastic week for participation in sports tournaments. Our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils were lucky enough to take part in two tournaments this week. Check out the news stories below to see how we got on.

On top of that, a big thank you to Miss Michell and Miss McGahan for organising a weekend trip to watch basketball at the O2. Watching a real game inside a packed stadium looked like a brilliant experience.

Please check the calendar below for some important events coming up. The final Summer term is always a busy one. It is time to start thinking about which inspirational figure you will be dressing as for Be Brave Day. It is also time to think about what you might be cooking to support our Diversity Evening event. Lots to look forward to so make sure you don't miss out!

We wish you the very best of half term breaks, full of rest and fun, ready for learning upon your return.

Mr Janes

Attendance

At St Georges's, our culture statement says:

We are fun. We are together.

Being together means attending school regularly. This year, we have set a challenging target for attendance to be in line with pre-Covid levels. Each week we will publish our attendance in this newsletter. Please contribute by ensuring your child is in school, not missing out on learning.

This week's average attendance: 95.05%
Highest class attendance of the week: Shackleton Class - 98.57%
Academic year's average attendance: 94.83%
Our target for the year: 97.00%

We are proud to say that we have won a certificate for our attendance! Have a look below to see.
