Our Value of the month: HONESTY

Dear St. George's families,

What a fantastic week we have had! We have certainly been living out our culture statement: We are fun. We are together.

On Thursday, it was fantastic to see so many families attend our Celebration of the Arts festival. Mrs Hall, who is our Arts Lead, was incredibly proud of all the performers and artwork on show. Check out the news story below to see how we all got on.

On Friday, Miss Michell led our MAT-wide School Games day, where St George's pupils competed against all of the schools in the Trust. Keep your eyes peeled for a news story on that shortly!

Speaking of sports, St George's School Games Day is also nearly upon us. As usual, pupils are required to meet us directly at Dulwich College Sports Ground and to be picked up from there. Please ask at the office if you have any queries.

Finally, your child's final report of the school year will be sent to you directly via email, just like Spring term reports were. Please make sure you have contacted the office if your email address has changed to ensure you receive your copy. The report will include details of any statutory tests your child has taken, as well as a comment from your child's teacher. Expect to receive these later this week or early next week.

As ever, we wish you the very best of weekends, full of rest and fun, ready for learning on Monday.

Mr Janes

Attendance

At St Georges's, our culture statement says:

We are fun. We are together.

Being together means attending school regularly. This year, we have set a challenging target for attendance to be in line with pre-Covid levels. Each week we will publish our attendance in this newsletter. Please contribute by ensuring your child is in school, not missing out on learning.

This week's average attendance: 95.74%
Highest class attendance of the week: Shackleton Class - 100%
Academic year's average attendance: 94.87%
Our target for the year: 97.00%

We are proud to say that we have now been awarded two attendance certificates. We have been in the top 25% of similar schools for attendance in both the Autumn and Spring terms!
