Our Value of the month: HONESTY

Dear St. George's families,

We hope you enjoy our final Newsletter of the academic year.

We have certainly had a sporty couple of weeks. Check out the news stories below to see how our MAT Games Day and our School Games Day went. A special well done to all the parents who participated in the parent-teacher race on such a sunny afternoon! A big thank you to Miss Michell, our Sports leader at St George's, for organising such a well-run event.

This week, we said an emotional goodbye to our Year Six pupils at their leaving ceremony. We will miss them lots but know they will make us proud in whatever they choose to do in the future.

A big thank you to those of you who voted in our Parent Governor elections. All votes are now in and we look forward to announcing the newest member of our Governing Board in September.

We look forward to seeing all pupils back on the 4th September.

Finally, we wish you the very best of summer breaks, full of rest and fun, ready for learning next academic year.

Mr Janes

Attendance

At St Georges's, our culture statement says:

We are fun. We are together.

Being together means attending school regularly. This year, we have set a challenging target for attendance to be in line with pre-Covid levels. Each week we will publish our attendance in this newsletter. Please contribute by ensuring your child is in school, not missing out on learning.

This week's average attendance: 90.72%
Highest class attendance of the week: Tull Class - 96.67%
Academic year's average attendance: 94.73%
Our target for the year: 97.00%

We are proud to say that we have now been awarded two attendance certificates. We have been in the top 25% of similar schools for attendance in both the Autumn and Spring terms!
