Our Value of the month: GENEROSITY

Dear St. George's families,

A big thank you to all parents who attended our first Parents Association meeting of the year. In the meeting, it was decided that the Parents Association will host three events across the academic year. Our first event will be the 'Big Wrap-Up'. Check out the dates below for more information. A SchoolPing will be sent from our Parents Association about the event nearer the time. We look forward to seeing as many families there as possible!

It has been an exciting time for Pupil Leadership this week. Your newly appointed Head Boy and Head Girl were announced to the school community on Monday, alongside their team of Parent Ambassadors. Check out the news story below to see who your new pupil representatives are.

As ever, we wish you the very best of weekends, full of rest and fun, ready for learning on Monday.

Mr Janes

Attendance

At St Georges's, our culture statement says:

We are fun. We are together.

Being together means attending school regularly. This year, we have set a challenging target for attendance to be in line with pre-Covid levels. Each week we will publish our attendance in this newsletter. Please contribute by ensuring your child is in school, not missing out on learning.

This week's average attendance: 97.00%
Highest class attendance of the week: Tull Class - 100%
Academic year's average attendance: 95.71%
Our target for the year: 97.00%

We are proud to say that we have now been awarded two attendance certificates. We have been in the top 25% of similar schools for attendance in both the Autumn and Spring terms of the 2023-24 academic year!
