Dear St George's families,
We had a fantastic week of events and celebrations across the school!
Be Brave Day was a real highlight — it was inspiring to see pupils dressed as so many brave historical figures. From campaigners for justice to inventors and explorers, the children really embraced the spirit of our vision: Be brave. Be great. Be you. Thank you for supporting this meaningful day.
Reception families also enjoyed our first Chatty Provision workshop, where we explored how talk and language can be developed through play at home. It was brilliant to share strategies and see families so engaged — we’re looking forward to the next one.
Looking ahead, we’re getting excited for our upcoming School Games Day, which will take place at Dulwich College again this year. Please remember that families should meet us there on the day — it promises to be a brilliant community event.
We’re also preparing for our much-loved Diversity Day and Diversity Evening. During the day, pupils are invited to wear traditional dress linked to their own heritage or a culture they know well. In the evening, we’ll come together as a school community to celebrate the richness of cultures through music, dance, and most importantly — food!
If you’re able to bring along a national dish or drink to share, please let the school office know. Contributions of any size are welcome — it’s the shared spirit that makes the evening so special.
As always, be sure to check the calendar at the end of the newsletter for all key dates and upcoming events. Let’s keep the energy and positivity going strong this half term!
Warm regards,
Mr Janes
