Our Value of the month: AWE & WONDER

Dear St George’s families,

As we come to the end of another fantastic year at St George’s, I want to say a heartfelt thank you for all your support, partnership and encouragement over the past three terms.

Last week, we enjoyed two of the most joyful events in our calendar: our Celebration of the Arts Festival, where pupils' creativity shone through every artwork and performance, and our Sports Day at Dulwich College, which was full of energy, sportsmanship and community spirit. Thank you for joining us in cheering the children on.

We were also incredibly proud of our Year 6 pupils, who led a moving Leavers’ Service earlier this week. It was a fitting way to mark their time with us, and we wish them every success and happiness as they move on to secondary school.

Annual Reports – including assessment outcomes – have now been emailed home. We hope you enjoy reading and celebrating your child’s achievements this year.

School reopens for all pupils on Wednesday 3rd September 2025, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for a brand new year of learning and growth.

Until then, we wish all of our families a wonderful and restful summer break.

Warm regards,

Mr Janes

Attendance

At St Georges's, our culture statement says:

We are fun. We are together.

Being together means attending school regularly. This year, we have set a challenging target for attendance to be in line with pre-Covid levels. Each week we will publish our attendance in this newsletter. Please contribute by ensuring your child is in school, not missing out on learning.

This week's average attendance: 94.56%
Highest class attendance of the week: Tull & Sancho-Thunberg Class - 100%
Academic year's average attendance: 95.77%
Our target for the year: 97.00%

We are proud to say that we have now been awarded three attendance certificates. We were in the top 10% of similar schools for attendance over the whole academic year. This year, we have been in the top 25% of schools nationally for both Autumn and Spring term.
