Dear St George’s families,
Welcome back! We hope you all had a restful and enjoyable half-term break and are feeling refreshed for what promises to be a busy and exciting final half term of the academic year.
One event we are particularly looking forward to is our Celebration of Arts Festival, taking place straight after school next Thursday in the Quad. This is always a wonderful opportunity to see our pupils perform while surrounded by examples of their fantastic artwork. We hope as many families as possible will join us to celebrate the creativity, talent, and confidence of our children. Events such as these are a key reason why St George’s is proud to hold the Artsmark award and demonstrate our commitment to providing rich artistic opportunities for all pupils.
As we look ahead to the coming weeks, please take a moment to check the key dates listed later in the newsletter. In particular, we would love families to start thinking about our upcoming Diversity Evening and whether there is a food dish you might be able to bring along to help us celebrate the wonderful cultures, traditions, and backgrounds that make up our school community. This is always one of the highlights of the year, and we look forward to coming together once again to celebrate the diversity that makes St George’s such a special place.
A reminder that, from September, we will be extending our Nursery provision to include two-year-olds. If you have younger siblings who may benefit from this provision, or if you know families in the local area who may be interested, please help us spread the word. We are excited to be able to offer this opportunity to even more children and families within our community.
There is plenty more to look forward to over the coming weeks, and we cannot wait to share it all with you.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend,
Mr Janes
