Our vision statement: Be brave. Be great. Be you.

Our culture statement: We are fun. We are together.

Dear St. George's families,

There is still lots to look forward to in the latter stages of the academic year.

On Monday of the final week of the term, we will be saying goodbye to our Year 6s at their Leaving Ceremony. We are sure there will be a shortage of dry eyes that afternoon!

On the same day, all classes will also be meeting their new class teacher and visiting their future classrooms. It will be a proud moment as we watch each class walk a little taller to give their best first impressions.

Meanwhile, the forecast for next week is currently suggesting weather will be extremely hot. We will make sure pupils make use of the shade in the playground and provide them with plenty of water. Please ensure your child has used sunscreen and bring sun hats to school next week, too.

Finally, thank you to everyone who has voted in our Parent Governor elections. You should have a link in your SchoolPing if you have not done so yet.

As ever, we wish you the very best of weekends, full of rest and fun, ready for learning on Monday.

Mr Janes

Reminders

Wraparound Care

We are delighted to say that we will be offering wraparound care through The Young Explorers Club from September.

They are an external provider who will be using our site.

Please visit the wraparound page on our website to read their letter to parents here.

Sponsored Variety Mile

Next week, we have our sponsored 'variety mile', which has been suggested and organised by our school council.

We are really looking forward to seeing pupils take to their scooters, bikes or skateboards during the daily mile on Thursday.

We hope to continue fundraising for our net across the football cage.

End of Year Reports

End of year reports for your child will be sent via SchoolPing on Monday 18th July.

Please look out for that so you can celebrate your child's achievements with them.

Sports Day

A reminder that Sports day is coming up on 20th July.

We are at Ladywell Sports Track this year. Please remember that pupils will be taken straight there for 9:45am, just like last year.

All families are invited to stay to cheer their children on and join in with the fun.

The day will end a little earlier too, at 2pm, and pupils should be picked up from the venue.
