Our Value of the month: BELONGING

Dear St. George's families,

It was a pleasure seeing everyone dressed in denim this Friday for a good cause. We raised nearly £200 for the Jeans for Genes initiative. Thank you to everyone who contributed.

We are really excited to announce that we will be redeveloping our outdoor spaces during the course of this academic year. Check out the news story below to see some rendered images of what we have planned. It is a very exciting time to be at St George's!

We are also really excited to announce that we have been awarded the School Games Gold Award for the third year in a row, recognising the brilliant sports provision we have at St George's. A big thank you to Miss Michell, our sports lead, who works really hard to give our pupils the best opportunities. We look forward to now applying for the Platinum Award next year!

A reminder that our Start of the Year class meetings for parents are taking place next week. You should have received information on what these meeting entail for parents via SchoolPing last week. There is also information about it later in this newsletter.

The meetings are really important in enabling you to support your child this upcoming year. Teachers will be explaining our new home learning procedures so that you are really clear on what we think will set your child up to succeed. We look forward to seeing you all there.

Finally, we wish our Year 6 pupils the best as they head off to their Residential at PGL next week. We look forward to hearing all about their adventures when they return! Keep your eyes peeled for a news story in an upcoming newsletter.

As ever, we wish you the very best of weekends, full of rest and fun, ready for learning on Monday.

Mr Janes
