Our Value of the month: HUMILITY

Dear St. George's families,

It has been another week which reaffirms our culture statement: We are fun. We are together.

Last weekend, our Glee Club performed at St George's Church Christmas Fair. Our church is part of our community and we were so pleased to have our pupils represent the school so well, with fabulous renditions of Christmas Carols. A big thank you to Miss Doswell for working with Glee Club and giving up part of her weekend.

Across this week, we have held our Christmas Art Sale. Ms. Hall, our Art Lead, has been blown away by how many of you have joined us in celebrating your children's achievements in art. We are also incredibly grateful to those of you who purchased a piece of your child's artwork. The money raised will be put to good use and improve our art facilities!

Another way in which we have been 'together' this week has been through such fabulous support with home learning by our families. The number of pupils attending Homework Club has dropped significantly as you have prioritised completing learning at home. Our pupils are making such good progress as a result.

A little reminder that, in the last week of term, there will be an opportunity for your child to bring in their Curriculum Enrichment Home Learning to showcase in our Home Learning Exhibition. Check out our Home learning page here to remind yourselves of this term's Curriculum Enrichment tasks and see what your child may want to complete in time for our first ever Exhibition.

A final reminder that tickets are available for our Nativities. Please check SchoolPing or speak to the office if you are unsure how to collect these tickets. It has been a pleasure hearing some of the Nativity songs being sung across the school this week and we can assure you that you will be in for a treat!

As ever, we wish you the very best of weekends, full of rest and fun, ready for learning on Monday.
