Our Value of the month: INTEGRITY

Dear St. George's families,

We have lots to look forward to in the upcoming weeks.

Next week, we are inviting everyone to come in dressed as a book character for World Book Day on Thursday. Remember, costumes do not have to cost anything. If a child can speak about who they have come as, using a sprinkle of imagination, it is often more delightful than a shop-bought costume.

The week after is British Science Week. As part of that initiative, we will be doing lots of Science tasks during the week. Excitingly, we are inviting pupils to bring in a Science project for our Science Fair too. Mr Bayne and our Head Boy and Head Girl will be judging the competition. We are all wondering who will be winning the science-based prizes?

Finally, it was fantastic seeing our Year 5 pupils head off to Deptford Green to begin their drama sessions. Check out the news story below to see how they got on 'under the lights' of the secondary school's stage. We look forward to seeing their end performance, which parents are invited to.

As ever, we wish you the very best of weekends, full of rest and fun, ready for learning on your return.

Mr Janes

Being together means attending school regularly. This year, we have set a challenging target for attendance to be in line with pre-Covid levels. Each week we will publish our attendance in this newsletter. Please contribute by ensuring your child is in school, not missing out on learning.

This week's average attendance: 94.82%
Highest class attendance of the week: Sancho-Thunberg Class - 98.00%
Academic year's average attendance: 94.25%
Our target for the year: 97.00%
