Our Value of the month: INTEGRITY

Dear St. George's families,

A big thank you to everyone who dressed up as part of World Book Day on Thursday. The whole school had a great day of reading-related activities. Check out the news story below to see how we got on.

Next week is British Science Week. We are particularly looking forward to Thursday, when we will be hosting our first annual Science Fair after school. We cannot wait to see how many fun science projects are entered. Check out the poster below to be directed to some websites with ideas for your project.

You will have all received a SchoolPing this week giving information about how to apply to be a Parent Governor, as a place on our Governing Board as opened up. If you have any questions regarding the process or the role, please feel free to contact Mr Janes or answer the survey indicating your interest in the role.

As ever, we wish you the very best of weekends, full of rest and fun, ready for learning on Monday.

Mr Janes

At St Georges's, our culture statement says:

We are fun. We are together.

Being together means attending school regularly. This year, we have set a challenging target for attendance to be in line with pre-Covid levels. Each week we will publish our attendance in this newsletter. Please contribute by ensuring your child is in school, not missing out on learning.

This week's average attendance: 96.93%
Highest class attendance of the week: Benjamin Class - 99.13%
Academic year's average attendance: 94.37%
Our target for the year: 97.00%
