Our vision statement: Be brave. Be great. Be you.

Our culture statement: We are fun. We are together.

Dear St. George's families,

The children at our school never fail to inspire and move us at St. George's.

All week, we have been thinking about Remembrance and what it means.

When we came together on Remembrance Day at 11 o'clock, the children observed the two minutes silence impeccably and made all the adults so proud to be part of this community.

Next week, School Council have organised four events which we are all looking forward to: Odd Socks Day; an Anti-Bullying Week Assembly; Rainbow dress up on Friday for Children in Need; and a cake sale on Friday. What a bunch of courageous advocates we have here at St. George's!

We look forward to a jam-packed week of learning and personal development next week. Please see below for more details.

As ever, we wish you the very best of weekends, full of rest and fun, ready for learning on Monday.

Mr Janes

Reminders

Class Names Voting

We have received lots of responses now to our survey about what our school community thinks we should name our classes.

Ms MacAlpine is bringing the responses to the teachers next week as we get closer to the big reveal!

School Council Action:

Improving Playtimes

Part of School Council's agenda for this term is to help improve our already fantastic offer at playtime.

In the next two weeks, we will be setting up a stall in the quad for pupils to write their ideas down on how to improve our play and lunch times.

We look forward to hearing all of your fabulous ideas and making improvements where we can.

Odd Socks Day on Monday

Don't forget to wear Odd Socks to school on Monday morning!

School Council are inviting everyone to participate in this initiative as part of Anti Bullying Week next week.

Mr Janes already has one pink sock lined up... but is unsure about the other colour!

Rainbow Dress up and Cake Sale for Children in Need 2021

Come to school wearing bright, colourful clothes, or your interpretation of a rainbow on Friday next week and give a pound to Children In Need!

Also, we will be having a cake sale so any donations are welcome. It will be after school and we are hoping to raise as much money for a good cause as possible.
