Weekly Newsletter

Issue Number 35

11th March 2022

Our vision statement: Be brave. Be great. Be you.

Our culture statement: We are fun. We are together.

Dear St. George's families,

It has been fantastic seeing some St. George's traditions being brought back this week. Firstly, by popular demand, our Healthy Tuck Shop is back. This was all through the power of pupil voice, with School Council leading positive change.

Secondly, our Tuck Shop Prize Raffle is also back during Fridays' Celebration Worships. Anyone who has been 'brave', 'great' or shown their uniqueness during lunchtimes will be entered in the raffle. Ms MacAlpine was really impressed as our Year 5 and 6 picked our first winners this morning!

Next week, we have lots of fun learning and fundraising to look forward to. It is National British Science Week, and Mr Bayne, our Science Lead, has organised some great activities for pupils to participate in. We look forward to a very science-focused newsletter next week!

We will also be wearing red on Friday to help support Red Nose Day. Have a look below at the posters with more information. I hope you will recognise the Year 6 faces advertising the day!

Finally, we have a Parent Governor vacancy coming up. We will be writing to you all with more details about it next week. If you are someone who wants to support the school to continually improve for our pupils, please consider the role.

As ever, we wish you the very best of weekends, full of rest and fun, ready for learning on Monday.

Mr Janes
