Our vision statement: Be brave. Be great. Be you.

Our culture statement: We are fun. We are together.

Dear St. George's families,

The school felt a little quieter at the beginning of this week as some of our Year 5 and 6 pupils were off on their residential. We missed them all but know they had an amazing time. We look forward to Monday's worship, when they will be telling the school all about their feats of bravery!

Our fundraising for the Lentern Call has continued in full swing. It has been lovely seeing the school community buzzing around the 'Easter Egg Raffle' and 'Guess the Rabbit's Name' tables in the playground at the end of each day. A big thank you to everyone who contributed, no matter in how small a way.

A reminder that a survey was sent out via SchoolPing to see if anyone would be interested in knowing more about our Parent Governor vacancy. Please respond if you are interested. The role can be really fulfilling and certainly contributes to making St. George's the best it can be for our fabulous pupils.

Finally, please remember that pick-up next Friday is at 1:20pm for the start of the Easter Holidays.

As ever, we wish you the very best of weekends, full of rest and fun, ready for learning on Monday.

Mr Janes

Reminders

Healthy Tuck Shop Fridays

A reminder to everyone that Healthy Tuck Shop continues every Friday, because of School Council's campaigning.

Pupils can bring in their 50p to exchange for healthy snacks.

First News Ukraine Schools Appeal

On the last day of Half Term, St. George's will be joining First News's Ukraine Schools Appeal.

To help fundraise for the Disasters Emergency Committee, we will ask everyone to come in wearing yellow and blue, the colours of the Ukrainian flag, in exchange for £1.

To find out more about the appeal, please click here.

A Call to Action by School Council!

School Council have been listening to the views of pupils from across the school. One of the big items that pupils have wanted is a net to cover the football cage to stop balls from going over the fence.

We have had a quote given to us for the net which comes in at £860. Not put off by the large number, School Council will be speaking to the school to find out ways we can fundraise to purchase the net.

Remember, if you have any ideas,  School Council needs you!

Parent support

A reminder that you can access parental support on Monday, Wednesday or Friday from Carley between 9:00am and 9:30am.

If you would like support for any issues or guidance to external agencies, Carley is here to help.

She is also available on the gate at the end of the day every evening.

At St. George's we say 'We are fun. We are together.' That includes our parents and wider community.
