Our vision statement: Be brave. Be great. Be you.

Our culture statement: We are fun. We are together.

Dear St. George's families,

It is fantastic to see our offer of wider experiences, including trips and visitors, begin with gusto this week.

Our Year 6 pupils have been on their residential stay and have been taking up as many experiences as possible.

Likewise, our Year 3 pupils were off out to the National Gallery to observe famous works of art, including 'Sunflowers' by Van Gogh, which they have been studying in art sessions.

At St George's, we know how important it is for pupils to experience the full cultural offer we are lucky to have on our doorstep in London.

We also know how important it is for families and school to work together to ensure our pupils can 'Be great', as our vision statement says. With this in mind, please attend our Open Classrooms on Wednesday next week. You have the chance to look through your child's books and see the progress they are making. We look forward to seeing you all there.

As ever, we wish you the very best of weekends, full of rest and fun, ready for learning on Monday.

Open Classrooms 5th October 2022

Don't forget to add the 5th October to your diary for one of our Open Classroom evenings. You can come in and view your child's exercise books and speak about their learning to their class teacher.

We have two slots: one straight after school and one later in the evening at 6pm for those who work at that time.

Our New Attendance Officer

At St George's, we know that it is vitally important that our pupils are in every day and on time. We do not want them to miss out on a single minute's learning.

This academic year, we will be working with Lewisham's attendance team and will have our very own Education Welfare Officer based here once a week.

Her name is Laura Annansingh and she looks forward to helping families ensure pupils reach their attendance goals.
