Dear St. George's families,

It has certainly been a jam packed week! We have participated in Anti Bullying Week, Children in Need fundraising, and Geography Awareness Week.

Activities linked to Anti Bullying included: Odd Socks Day, poetry writing, School Council Assemblies, and thoughtful RSHE sessions. Check out the news stories below to see what we got up to!

Geography Awareness Week was a real hit across the school too. The rain and wind did not stop us from donning our hooded jackets, grabbing our clipboards and maps, and undertaking orienteering around the school. Miss Sarris, our Geography Lead, was really impressed with our pupils' map reading skills. We have been told that the fastest time to complete the orienteering course, spotting all the markers on the school map, and completing the secret code, was a swift 12 minutes! What spectacular Geographers we have at St George's.

Seeing the school dressed in colourful, spotty clothes was a great way to end the week. School Council will be letting us know how much money we raised for Children in Need with our dress ups and competitions very soon.

Finally, the photographer is in on Monday next week to take individual pictures of children and siblings. Please make sure your child comes to school looking their best, in full school uniform. The pictures will be available to buy. Look out for information through SchoolPing.

As ever, we wish you the very best of weekends, full of rest and fun, ready for learning on Monday.
