Curious about the Celts?
Year 3 have been getting curious about the Iron Age Celts! Where did they come from? Where did they go? Why did they hate the Romans so?
In History, we have been revisiting our learning about the Iron Age and learnt a multitude of new facts about the Iron Age Celts. Who they were, how they lived, what they did and how they worshipped. We were amazed to hear that they sacrificed humans alive and that they were able to make intricate fire dogs and other artefacts with simple tools and lots of skill. We learnt that both men and women were warriors and were impressed to learn about the most successful female Celt: Queen Boudicca!
We can't wait to find out more in our History Topic this term: Rome and the impact on Britain!
