Our Space Adventures Continue!

Kahlo Class have been continuing with their topic 'Space Journeys'...

In English, we have enjoyed the stories 'Whatever Next' and 'The Way Back Home'. We used our phonics to write our own version of the story Whatever Next.

In expressive arts and design, we have been busy exploring a range of tools, materials and media to independently create space pictures and models. In Maths, we have been learning about 2D and 3D shapes and we used this knowledge to print 2D shape planet pictures and create 3D junk modelling rockets. We even created a massive rocket using a giant cuboid!

We have enjoyed exploring lots of different resources in the malleable area, including ice, moon sand and alien spaghetti. We have been working co-operatively and using talk to work out problems and organise thinking and activities, as well as to explain how things work and why they might happen.
