Sensational Southend Trip

Year 6 travelled all the way to Southend Adventure Island for their celebration trip!
Best class brought their final term to a thrilling close last week with an unforgettable day out at Adventure Island in Southend-on-Sea.
Excitement was in the air as the children arrived at the popular seaside amusement park, ready to take on everything from rollercoasters to log flumes. With the sun shining and spirits high, the day was packed with adventure, laughter, and lasting memories.
A Day Full of Highs – Literally!
Pupils wasted no time heading straight for the park’s headline attractions. Many started off with the Green Scream, a classic coaster that set the tone for the day. For the more daring, the Rage rollercoaster was the ultimate challenge – complete with vertical drops and stomach-flipping loops.
Other favourites included the dizzying Twister, the giant swinging Storm, and the splash-filled Monsoon Falls, which left more than a few students drenched (and laughing!).
For those looking for something a little calmer, the traditional Carousel and colourful Pharoahs' tea cups proved just as enjoyable, offering fun and laughter without the high speeds.
Treats, Trinkets and Treasured Moments
No trip to the seaside would be complete without a few delicious snacks – and Year 6 certainly made the most of it. Pupils enjoyed soft-serve ice creams, warm donuts, and shared sweet treats with friends throughout the day.
Many also visited the souvenir shops, leaving with keepsakes like Adventure Island caps, keyrings, and other mementos to remember their special day.
Reflections From an Unforgettable Day
The trip was more than just a chance to enjoy some of the UK’s best rides – it was a celebration of the pupils’ hard work, friendships, and time together at primary school.
“It was the best day ever – I went on Rage twice and didn’t scream once!” said one pupil proudly.
“I can't believe I didn't get wet on the water slide,” added another.
Staff were equally impressed by the children’s enthusiasm, good behaviour, and sense of fun throughout the day.
A Well-Earned Celebration
As the children prepare to move on to secondary school, the Adventure Island trip provided a perfect send-off – full of laughter, courage, sugar, and seaside sunshine.
The whole school community is proud of our Year 6 pupils and wishes them every success in the exciting journey ahead.
They did this all through the school vision:
Be brave, Be great, Be you.
