On Tuesday 23rd September 2025, our Year 3/4 girls football team proudly represented the school at the Lewisham School Games annual football tournament, held at St Dunstan’s Jubilee. This was the very first School Games competition of the 2025/2026 year, and the excitement was buzzing as the girls laced up their boots, ready to play.

From the very first whistle, the team showed fantastic teamwork and determination, scoring plenty of goals to secure their place in the semi-finals. In a tense and closely fought match, the girls narrowly missed out on reaching the final. However, they didn’t let that disappointment hold them back—showing true resilience, they went on to win the third-place play-off in style!

Throughout the day, the girls embodied our school PE values:

Be respectful.

Be determined.

They played every match with energy and enthusiasm, supported each other brilliantly, and never gave up, no matter the challenge.

We are so proud of the team’s achievement and can’t wait for the next School Games competition—the U10 boys football tournament at Dulwich College. Bring it on!
