Year 2’s Wonderful Winter Workshop

On Wednesday, our Year 2 children set off on a very special adventure to Holy Trinity Church for the Spinnaker Trust’s Christmas Journey workshop. From the moment they left school, their excitement set the tone for what became a truly fantastic morning.
The workshop offered a lively and imaginative retelling of the Nativity story, brought to life through drama, storytelling, and hands-on craft. The children threw themselves into every activity with enthusiasm, curiosity, and joy.
Their behaviour throughout the trip was exemplary; they represented St George’s beautifully and embodied our culture statement in every way:
We are fun. We are together.
Staff and volunteers alike were proud to see the children working collaboratively, supporting one another, and engaging so thoughtfully with the workshops. Whether acting out scenes, creating crafts, or listening carefully to the story of the first Christmas, they showed what it means to learn and live in community.
It was a wonderful experience from start to finish, filled with learning and moments the children will remember for a long time.
See the photos below for a glimpse of some of the activities they enjoyed.
