Bang, Blast and Brilliant Science: Year 4 Visit the Science Museum!

Year 4 visit the Science Museum!
Year 4 had a fantastic start to the new year with an exciting trip to the Science Museum on Friday 9th January. The visit was a wonderful opportunity for pupils to explore, investigate and enjoy science in a fun and memorable way.
The day began with the Flash Bang Wallop show, which immediately captured everyone’s attention. One of our own pupils was even invited to help with a live demonstration! During the show, children learnt about the importance of safety in scientific experiments while watching thrilling explosions and dramatic experiments involving fire. It was loud, exciting and full of awe-inspiring moments.

After the show, Year 4 headed to the ever-popular Wonderlab. Here, pupils were able to take part in a wide range of hands-on investigations, exploring different aspects of science through play and experimentation. From friction slides to pulleys, the children were fully engaged as they tested ideas, made observations and discovered how things work.

The trip perfectly reflected our science vision:
Be academic. Be curious. Be practical.
Pupils asked thoughtful questions, explored with enthusiasm and learnt through practical experience. It was a truly inspiring day and a brilliant way to launch the new year of learning.
