Year 5/6 Boys Football Tournament – A Day to Remember

Green House celebrating their victory in the Year 5/6 Boys Football House Competition.
Our annual Year 5/6 boys football tournament took place on Tuesday 10th February at St Dunstan’s Jubilee, and it was a fantastic celebration of school sport. The competition began with a round-robin stage, giving all teams the chance to showcase their skills, teamwork and sportsmanship. After some closely fought matches, the top four teams progressed to the semi-finals, raising the excitement even further.
The day was packed with entertainment, from thrilling penalty shoot-outs to dramatic last-minute goals that kept players and spectators on the edge of their seats. Throughout the tournament, the boys demonstrated our PE values of:
Be Passionate.
Be Respectful.
Be Determined.
They showed commitment to their teams, respect for opponents and officials, and a real desire to give their best in every match.
A special well done goes to Green House, who reached the semi-finals and went on to win the tournament after losing one match in the round-robin stage. Their journey was a brilliant example of self-belief and determination, bouncing back from disappointment and finishing the day as deserved champions. Congratulations to all teams involved for making it such an enjoyable and memorable event.
Have a look at some of the pictures from the day. We would like to thank St Dunstan's for the use of their football pitches.
