This week, Kahlo Class have been learning about Lunar New Year and exploring how it is celebrated around the world. The children have truly shown what it means to Be an Explorer ๐. Be a Trier ๐ช. Be a Talker ๐ฃ๏ธ. Be a Creator ๐จ.
๐ Be a Talker: We enjoyed reading Shu Lin’s Grandpa and had thoughtful discussions about family, traditions, and celebrations. The children shared their ideas confidently and listened carefully to one another.
โ๏ธ Be a Trier: Pupils worked hard to write shopping lists, cards, and invitations for our Lunar New Year celebrations, showing fantastic effort with their phonics and handwriting.
๐จ Be a Creator: In Expressive Arts and Design, the children made colourful dragons ๐ and beautiful lanterns ๐ฎ to decorate our classroom.
๐ฅข Be an Explorer: We tasted traditional Chinese food and even practised using chopsticks to develop our fine motor skills — it was tricky but lots of fun!
It has been a joyful and enriching week of learning and celebration. Well done, Kahlo Class! ๐
