On Thursday 16th April 2026, pupils from Years 3 and 4 gathered at Dulwich College Sports Club for the much-anticipated Mixed House Hockey Competition. The annual event brought together all Key Stage 2 children, reinforcing the school’s commitment to providing every pupil with a positive and inclusive competitive experience.
Sport plays a vital role in developing confidence, teamwork, and resilience, and this event showcased exactly why offering young children opportunities to compete in a supportive environment is so important. While the competition was spirited, the focus remained firmly on enjoyment, participation, and personal growth.
The day began with a round-robin stage, where all five houses faced each other in a series of fast-paced and closely contested matches. Every team demonstrated excellent effort and sportsmanship, setting the tone for an exciting tournament.

Following the group stage, the top four houses progressed to the semi-finals. These matches were full of energy and determination, with one particularly dramatic game being decided by a tense penalty shootout that kept players and spectators on the edge of their seats.
The competition then moved into the medal matches. First came the bronze medal match, where both teams battled hard for a place on the podium. This was followed by a thrilling gold medal match, where the finalists gave their all in pursuit of victory.
