KS2 Pupils Go the Extra Mile in TCS Mini Marathon School Event

KS2 taking part in the 2 mile TCS Mini Marathon in Schools.
Pupils across Key Stage 2 laced up their trainers this week to take part in a special school edition of the TCS Mini Marathon, bringing the excitement of London’s iconic running event straight to the playground.
Held on a beautiful, sunny Friday, the event proved to be the perfect way to round off an already inspiring week, following the Mini Marathon celebrations that took place in London last Saturday. Building on that momentum, our KS2 children embraced the challenge with enthusiasm and energy.

In a step up from their usual Daily Mile, pupils pushed themselves to complete an impressive two-mile run. The extended distance tested both their physical endurance and mental resilience, and it was fantastic to see so many children rise to the occasion. From the starting line to the final stretch, determination and effort were evident in every stride.
Teachers and spectators were proud to witness the incredible spirit on display. Children encouraged one another, kept going when it felt tough, and celebrated their achievements together at the finish. The atmosphere was full of positivity, perseverance, and pride.
This event perfectly reflected our PE values:
- Be passionate
- Be respectful
- Be determined
Well done to all our KS2 runners for making the event such a success. Your effort and attitude truly made it a memorable day for everyone involved.

We are already looking forward to taking part in more marathon events next year!
