From the start of this half term, Shackleton Class have been lucky enough to take part in a fantastic workshop programme delivered by Crystal Palace Sports Club called Equal Eagles. As part of the programme, Coach Terry visits us each week to lead engaging one-hour sessions focused on social and personal development.

So far, pupils have explored important topics such as discrimination and inclusion, helping them to understand how to treat others with respect and fairness. More recently, the class has been learning about the difference between equality and equity, developing a deeper understanding of how everyone may need different support to succeed.

The pupils have thoroughly enjoyed the interactive activities and discussions, showing great maturity and thoughtfulness in their responses. They are already looking forward to the next sessions and continuing to build these important life skills.

It has really supported our pupils to live out the calls to action in our curriculum vision statement for RSHE:
