Passing, Partner work and Persevering in PE!

This week in PE, Year 2 have been developing their sending and receiving skills through a range of fun and engaging activities.
The children explored different techniques such as underarm throws, rolling the ball with control, chest passes, and using the inside of their feet to pass accurately to a partner. They practised controlling the speed and direction of the ball while also learning the importance of balance, coordination, and communication when working as a team.
Throughout the lessons, the children showed fantastic enthusiasm and determination as they challenged themselves to improve their accuracy and control. It has been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they applied these skills in small games and partner activities, demonstrating excellent teamwork, listening skills, and sportsmanship.
Our Physical Education Curriculum Vision Statement
“Be passionate. Be respectful. Be determined.”
was certainly brought to life this week, with the children showing all of these qualities in abundance during their PE lessons.
