Kites, Laughter and Learning!

The Inclusion Hub’s Flat Stanley adventures really took off this week! From imaginative writing to kite flying at Crystal Palace Park, the children brought their learning to life in the most exciting way.

During their English learning this half term, the children in the Inclusion Hub have thoroughly enjoyed reading the story of Flat Stanley. The exciting adventures in the book inspired lots of fantastic writing opportunities, including character descriptions, postcard writing and even instructions explaining how to make a kite after Flat Stanley flew like one in the story!

To bring their learning to life, the children had a wonderful time designing and making their own colourful kites, complete with ‘flat’ versions of themselves attached. Today, they took their creations to Crystal Palace Park to see them soar through the sky.

What a fun and memorable way to celebrate the end of their Flat Stanley learning journey! The smiles, laughter and teamwork on display truly reflected St George’s culture statement:

“We are fun. We are together.”
