Shackleton Class Meets Author Judith Eagle!

Last week, Shackleton class visited Forest Hill School to see and hear about Judith Eagles new book!

Shackleton Class had an amazing opportunity this week—we took a short trip down the road to Forest Hill School to meet the brilliant author Judith Eagle! She gave an inspiring talk about her brand-new book, The Great Theatre Rescue, and shared how she gathered ideas to bring her story to life. It was fascinating to hear about her writing process and all the research that went into creating her characters and setting.

The whole class was completely hooked as she spoke about her inspirations and how she develops her ideas into exciting adventures. It was a great chance for us to think about how authors craft their stories and what we can learn from them for our own writing.

The best part? We got the chance to purchase a signed copy of The Great Theatre Rescue! Many of us left feeling inspired—not only to dive into Judith’s book but also to try writing our own stories. A huge thank you to Judith Eagle for sharing her time and creativity with us. Shackleton Class can’t wait to get reading!

What a perfect way to live out our English curriculum vision statement:

Be a reader. Be a writer. Be a communicator.
