All Aboard for Journeys! πΊοΈπ

This half term, Kahlo Class began our exciting new topic: Journeys!
Our young learners have been Explorers π, Triers πͺ, Talkers π£οΈ, and Creators π¨ as they thought about the different journeys we take and how we travel.
π Storytime Adventures: We enjoyed reading The Naughty Bus by Jan Oke and Martha’s Maps by Leigh Hodgkinson. These stories sparked brilliant discussions about travel and the different places we can go! Pupils then became authors and rewrote the story of The Naughty Bus in their own words. πβοΈ
π Airport Role Play: Our outside airport has been full of excitement! Pupils role-played as pilots, passengers, and check-in staff, using their imagination and talk skills to bring their journeys to life. π§³π«
π¨ Creative Transport & Map-Making: As creators, the children used a variety of materials to build their own vehicles—from buses to airplanes to boats! They also created their own maps, thinking carefully about locations, landmarks, and routes. πΊοΈπβοΈ
It’s been a fantastic start to our Journeys topic, and we can’t wait to see where our learning takes us next. Well done, Kahlo Class! ππ
