🌱 Jemison Class Digs Into Science! 🌱

This week, our curious Year 1 scientists in Jemison Class got their hands muddy (literally!) as we kicked off our brand new Science topic — Plants! 🌿
We planted bean seeds and we’re super excited to watch them grow over the next few weeks. Each child carefully popped a seed into some soil, gave it a drink of water, and placed it somewhere nice and sunny. Now it’s time to wait, watch, and wonder! 👀✨
This is all part of our school's Science vision:
🔬 Be academic.
We’re using our knowledge about what plants need to grow – like water, light and warmth – and thinking scientifically about what might happen next.
🧠 Be curious.
Why do roots grow down? What happens if we put a plant in the dark? So many questions – and we’re ready to explore them all!
👐 Be practical.
Hands-on learning is the best kind – and nothing beats planting your own little seed and seeing real science happen in front of your eyes!
Stay tuned – we’ll be keeping a close eye on our beans and recording their progress. Who knows... maybe we’ll grow the next beanstalk to the clouds! 🌱🌞📏
