Playing with Words

This week, we were delighted to host our "Playing with Words" workshop, specially designed for our children who will be moving up to Reception in September.
Our curriculum vision statement for the Early Years at St George's is:
Be an explorer - Be a trier - Be a talker - Be a creator.
What better way to support our pupils to live out our vision than having a structured play session for our parents and carers with their children?
The session was packed with exciting, hands-on activities inspired by some of our favourite songs, rhymes, and stories – all aimed at encouraging language and communication development.
The children had a fantastic time exploring sounds, words, and stories in playful and interactive ways. It was a joy to see so many smiles and hear so much enthusiastic chatter as they took part in the different activities.
A huge thank you to all the parents who brought their children along – your support helps make events like these so special.
To end our lovely session, each child left with happy voices, big smiles, and their very own bottle of bubbles to continue the fun at home! We really lived out our St George's Culture Statement: We are Fun. We are Together.
