We’ve been diving into learning inspired by the story Pirates Love Underpants and living out our Early Years vision:

Be an Explorer 🌍. Be a Trier 💪. Be a Talker 🗣️. Be a Creator 🎨.

📚 Be a Talker & a Trier: After enjoying the story, the children used their imagination to write their own pirate rules and describe some of the cheeky pirates they met in the book. They worked hard to sound out words and share their ideas with confidence.

🎨 Be a Creator: In the creative area, pupils got crafty making pirate ships, pirate hats, eye patches, hooks, telescopes, and even treasure chests! There was cutting, sticking, painting, and plenty of glitter! 

🧭 Be an Explorer: The climbing frame has turned into a pirate ship, with children exploring life as pirates through play, discovering treasure, and using their handmade props in role play.

It’s been a swashbuckling start to our pirate topic — well done, Kahlo Class! 🏴‍☠️🌟
