Daily Mile Champions!

Our daily mile winners for Summer 2025.

The final Daily Mile of the academic year at St George’s was a triumphant celebration of progress, perseverance, and personal achievement. With the sun shining and spirits high, every child from Reception to Year 6 laced up their trainers for one last timed run—and what a run it was!

Throughout the year, children have taken part in the Daily Mile with dedication, making huge improvements in both their physical fitness and mental wellbeing. From first-timers to seasoned sprinters, each pupil has shown tremendous growth, not just in speed, but in their determination and effort.

Personal Best

St George’s is proud to take the mental and physical wellbeing of its pupils seriously, and the Daily Mile is a key part of ensuring every child is active every day. By building stamina, boosting mood, and encouraging healthy habits, the Daily Mile reflects the school’s core PE Values:

Be Passionate.

Be Respectful.

Be Determined.

As the summer term drew to a close, all children were officially timed for their final Daily Mile of the year. It was a joy to witness so many personal bests—proof that hard work and consistency really do pay off. Even more exciting was seeing some new faces climb onto the podium for the top three fastest times, a moment of pride for them and inspiration for others.
