This term in PE, Shackleton Class are diving into football, with a focus on learning and practising key techniques. These skills are so important in the game, helping players stay in control and work effectively as a team during a match.
In our first lesson, we looked closely at how to control the ball while running and how important it is to keep our eyes up to stay aware of what’s happening around us. Pupils had plenty of time to practise these skills before putting them into action in a friendly match. The game was full of excitement, with some brilliant goals scored and fantastic saves made!
This links perfectly with our PE curriculum vision:
Be passionate. Be respectful. Be determined.
Shackleton Class certainly showed all three values on the pitch this week!
