St George's Pupils Ace Summer Tennis Camp!

St George's pupils enjoyed some tennis fun at Old College Tennis Camps!

Back in June, we were lucky enough to welcome Old College Head Coach, Alex Heath, and full-time coach, Luke Hymas, to St George’s. They ran a fantastic tennis session for our Year 4 and 5 classes, packed with energy, games, and plenty of rallies.

The coaches were so impressed with the children’s effort and enthusiasm that they invited seven pupils to join their summer tennis camps. What a brilliant opportunity!

We were delighted to see that all seven children took up the offer and spent a week at Old College in the sun (and the rain!). They enjoyed top-quality coaching, took part in lots of fun games, and even got a taste of competitive matches. By the end of the week, their confidence and skills had come on leaps and bounds.

This experience was a wonderful way for our pupils to live out our St George’s PE values:

  • Be Passionate – showing their love for tennis.

  • Be Respectful – representing the school so well and supporting others.

  • Be Determined – keeping going, whatever the weather, and working hard to improve.

We’re so pleased to see our partnership with Old College continue to grow and can’t wait to work with them again this year.
