World Mental Health Day – Supporting Each Other at St George’s

This week at St George’s, we came together as a school to think about the importance of looking after our mental health.
A big well done to our Year 5 and Year 6 School Councillors, who confidently helped to lead Worship on Thursday 9th October.
They shared with everyone about World Mental Health Day and reminded us how important it is to talk, listen, and be there for one another. Their message was clear: we can all play a part in supporting our friends, classmates, and school community.
We ended Worship by singing “One, Two, Three, You Can Count on Me” by Bruno Mars—a perfect reminder that at St George’s, we can count on each other in times of need and support.
To mark the day, on Friday 10th October we will be wearing yellow to show our support and donating £1.00 each to Young Minds, a charity that supports children and young people’s mental health.
Together, we’re making our school a kind, caring and supportive place for everyone.
