Miles of Smiles: Determined Daily Mile Delivers Another Term of Triumph

Children Complete Another Successful Term of the Daily Mile!

We are delighted to celebrate another fantastic term of the Daily Mile, and what a success it has been! Over the past term, it has been wonderful to see so many children challenging themselves each day, showing enthusiasm, resilience, and a real love for being active.

Throughout the term, children have taken part in the Daily Mile every day, choosing to walk, skip, or run their mile. Many pupils have embraced the challenge, motivated not only to complete the distance but also to beat their own times. A particular highlight has been the excitement around the one-lap challenge, where children pushed themselves to see who could achieve the quickest lap time—cheered on by friends and staff alike.

We take part in the Daily Mile because we understand the significant physical and mental health benefits it brings. It also plays an important role in our Active 60 minutes, where schools are responsible for providing 30 minutes of physical activity each day. The Daily Mile has been a brilliant way to ensure children are moving, energised, and ready to learn.

Have a look at all our successes—we are incredibly proud of every child who took part!

At the end of the term, all children were timed to recognise their effort and progress. Every child in Key Stage 1 received a certificate of participation, celebrating their commitment and enthusiasm.

In Key Stage 2, children who beat their personal best were awarded certificates, while the top three runners in each class proudly received medals for their outstanding achievements.

We are already looking forward to another excellent term of the Daily Mile in the Spring, where we will also be taking part in the Vitality Run in April. Please keep an eye out for our fundraising page and support us if you can.
