A Festive Evening of Art & Togetherness

A few weeks ago, we were delighted to welcome families to our wonderful Arts Fair, and what a fantastic event it was! The school was buzzing with excitement as we celebrated creativity across all year groups.

Parents and children enjoyed festive treats including mince pies and hot chocolate, and we were even treated to some beautiful carols sung by a choir, which added a truly magical atmosphere to the evening.

The artwork on display showcased the hard work and talent of our pupils, inspired by a wide range of artists and techniques:

  • Nursery created vibrant firework artwork full of colour and excitement.

  • Reception designed beautiful diva lamps, exploring pattern and light.

  • Year 1 focused on drawing and sketching inspired by Albrecht Dürer, developing careful observation skills.

  • Year 2 explored waves inspired by Beth Krommes, using flowing lines and movement.

  • Year 3 produced stunning sunflower artwork inspired by Vincent Van Gogh, full of texture and bold colour.

  • Year 4 created detailed feather drawings using wax crayons and watercolours, inspired by the work of Giorgio Morandi.

  • Year 5 explored subtractive drawing inspired by Frank Auerbach, experimenting with tone and texture.

  • Year 6 produced powerful self-portraits inspired by Frida Kahlo, reflecting individuality and expression.

We are incredibly proud of all the children for their creativity, effort, and enthusiasm. Thank you to all the families who attended and helped make the Arts Fair such a memorable and enjoyable event. We look forward to many more creative celebrations in the future!
