🌱 Year 1 Jemison – Exploring Plants....continued 🌼

Year 1 Jemison are continuing their exciting learning about plants 🌿 this term. During our latest lesson, we explored the school grounds to carefully collect a selection of wild plants growing around us. 🍃
Back in the classroom, we used our observation skills 👀✏️ to create detailed drawings of the plants we had collected. We then labelled the different parts of each plant, including the roots, stem, leaves, and flowers. 🌱🌼 This hands-on activity helped us to identify the key parts of a plant and develop our scientific understanding, while also practising our careful drawing skills. 🎨📝
We are looking forward to continuing our plants topic and discovering even more about the wonderful natural world around us! 🌍💚
What a great way for us to live out the calls to action in our curriculum vision statement for Science:
Be academic. Be curious. Be practical.
