Funny Bones Fun in Reception!

A part of our topic 'All about me', Reception have been busy this week learning about ou bodies!

In English we have enjoyed the story 'Funny Bones' by Janet and Allan Ahlberg. We have been developing our communication and language by re-telling the story as well as in our new hospital role play area! We have been learning lots of new vocabulary related to the different parts of our bodies!

We have started phonics teaching this week and have learnt our Grapheme-phoneme correspondences for 's' 'a' 't' and 'p'.

In expressive arts and design, we have been experimenting a range of media and materials to create skeleton and body pictures.

Our Vision for our Early Years is:

Be an explorer. Be a trier. Be a talker. Be a creator.

We have been busy exploring, trying, talking and creating. Check out what we have done below!
