Our first art topic is Drawing. We started by looking at some work by Giorgio Morandi, paying close attention to how he used contour lines to create a 3D effect. Then, we had a go ourselves, creating some still-life sketches using contour lines and exploring sizing & positioning. 

Our art vision is:

Be creative.

Be proficient.

Be reflective. 

The children are already showing how creative they are, building their proficiency in drawing and being reflective when studying artists' work. We will continue developing these skills next week when we will use viewfinders to recreate drawings. Take a closer look at the children's drawings in the photos below!
