This week, Year 1 have been practising their drawing skills in order to become proficient. They looked at illustrations from the book 'The Storm Whale' and looked at how the illustrator used a range of drawing techniques. 

Children were then able to practice some of these drawing skills in their art books. They used: cross-hatching, blending, smudging, shading, straight lines, curved lines and zing zags.
