Let's investigate shapes

This week Benjamin class transformed into great mathematicians by exploring 3D shapes!

This week, we looked at different 3D shapes.

We counted the faces, edges and vertices on an assortment of 3D shapes, and looked around the classroom to find any similar objects that looked like 3D shapes.

During our investigation, we learnt that a cube and a cuboid both have 6 faces and 8 edges.

We also learnt that a sphere, a cylinder and a cone all have a curved surface.
