St George's Day 2024!

This week, we had our annual celebrations of Saint George's Day!

We are proud that our school is named after Saint George and we enjoy marking St George's Day every year!  As our vision statement says, we all strive to Be Brave like he was.

To start with, we were together  in whole school worship, where Mr Janes reminded us of the story of Saint George and the Dragon. We had fun joining in with parts of the story, using actions and acting as the characters. Back in class, all children completed a piece of writing based on part of the legend.

Our English Vision states:

Be a reader.

Be a writer.

Be a communicator.

Children were readers together in worship and writers during our English lessons. Check out how proud of their writing the children were in the photos below.
